SUMMARY:NDT4Industry
DESCRIPTION:\n"In vitro testing of cardiovascular implants for better quality"&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Nowadays\, heart diseases can be treated well. Depending on the clinical picture\, various medical aids are available: for example\, cardiovascular stents or artificial heart valves. However\, there is still need for improvement regarding the tolerability and longevity of heart implants.\nDr. Natalia Beshchasna will explain how the quality of cardiovascular implants can be tested. In this context\, research at IKTS focuses on the biostability and biodegradation of stents and the calcification of heart valve bioprotheses. These phenomena cannot be investigated using standard methods\, so application-oriented approaches had to be developed for each problem. The result is in vitro tests that consider the respective operating conditions\, manufacturing technologies and implant materials &ndash\; and that are demonstrated to you theoretically in the lecture and practically in a lab tour.\nPlease register via the event webpage www.ndt4industry.com\nContact: info@ndt4industry.com\n---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\nOnline seminar series\nNDT4INDUSTRY &ndash\; Recent developments in advanced NDT\nTake a look at the NDT research spectrum Fraunhofer IKTS and find out\, what kind of non-destructive testing solution helps your company to improve production\, to secure quality or to reduce maintenance costs. Our online seminar series NDT4INDUSTRY takes place in regular intervals and focuses on different topics.
