The event is endorsed by the Dresden Institutional Strategy concept within the German Excellence Initiative.

The symposium will focus on recent advances and state-of-the-art techniques directed at understanding functionalities found in biological systems that stem from the morphology and the form of the constituents. The various sessions of the meeting will emphasize the different length scales: from the molecular, to cellular, to tissue level and evolutionary aspects of morphogenesis.

The symposium will consists of Invited Talks and a Poster Session. Short Poster Presentations will be selected after the registration is closed.

Registration fee for two days, including lunch and a conference dinner (on the 19th of October) is 200€. Registration is limited to 125 persons and will be open on the 1st of March, 2017.
