Neteera receives CE marking and launches its contactless patient monitoring solution for care facilities and hospitals in Germany

Jerusalem, 1 April 2025 – Neteera, a leading company in the field of contactless patient monitoring, received CE certification for its innovative Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) System 130H-Plus in accordance with Class IIa of the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR) at the beginning of March 2025. The US FDA had already approved the system in 2024. This certification confirms the safety and performance of the Neteera solution and paves the way for a broad market launch in Germany and other European countries. Unlike traditional monitoring solutions, Neteera uses innovative radar technology and data analytics to measure microscopic skin movements regardless of whether the patient is clothed or covered. Neteera's patented technology enables continuous, non-contact monitoring of vital signs such as heart rate, respiratory rate, respiratory depth and the ratio of inhalation to exhalation. The smart RPM system from Neteera analyses and calculates basic values of the vital parameters and triggers an alarm if individual threshold values are exceeded. The system also monitors the patient's movements in real time. Even the smallest changes in activity levels are recognised and information on the recovery trend or possible deterioration in health is detected at an early stage. The frequency and duration with which patients leave their bed are also monitored.

Digital care assistance: safe and efficient

The Neteera solution includes a small device called 130H-Plus, which is installed above care or hospital beds. In contrast to conventional methods, 130H-Plus does not use a camera, which protects the patient's privacy. In addition, there are no irritating cables or sensors on the skin. Instead, using safe, maintenance-free and non-intrusive radar technology and data analysis, microscopic patient skin movements are detected, from which valuable clinical data is derived.

Contactless monitoring and easy integration into ePA systems

The RMP system from Neteera offers care facilities, hospitals and telemedicine providers advantages in contactless monitoring of patients and people in need of care. The system can be seamlessly integrated into existing electronic patient record systems (ePA systems). The health parameters are clearly displayed on a dashboard via an easy-to-use user interface. The Neteera system is already being used in more than 30,000 beds in the USA with the aim of not only improving the quality of care, but also optimising workflows. Healthcare professionals should be able to better focus their working time on the patients who actually need care interventions.

Further evaluation: collaboration with Halle (Saale) University Hospital planned

Prof Dr Jahn and his team are currently planning a feasibility and usability study with the 130H-Plus from Neteera, which will then also provide data from Germany. It is also planned that Neteera will be included in the project „Innovation Region for the Digital Transformation of Care and Health (TPG)“ of the University Medical Centre Halle (Saale), with the aim of further evaluating the practical suitability of the innovative contactless monitoring technology and thus helping to ensure that it can find its way into digital healthcare in Germany. Neteera was already accepted as one of eight start-ups in the medical:forge accelerator programme in Leipzig in 2024. The programme is funded by structural change funds from the Federal Ministry of Economics (BMWK). Neteera is being advised and supported in particular in the areas of regulation, setting up collaborations with clinics and business development.

Neteera presents contactless RPM system at DMEA 2025

Neteera will be exhibiting at DMEA 2025 in Berlin from 8 to 10 April 2025 and presenting its ground-breaking contactless patient monitoring technology to trade visitors. The company can be found in Hall 2.2, Stand C-115 and will also be taking part in the Solutions Hub Pitch on the topic of „digitalisation in care“ on 10 April. „With the CE mark in hand, we are particularly looking forward to our participation at this year's DMEA in Berlin“, says Isaac Litman.
