7th German Point-of-Care Testing Symposium (POCT)

Under the theme ‘POCT – New Perspectives for Cross-Sector Technologies and the Expansion of Clinical Applications’, the 7th German Point-of-Care Testing Symposium invites experts from the fields of science, medicine, industry and healthcare to Leipzig.

The symposium is dedicated to the latest developments and future prospects in point-of-care testing (POCT). The focus is on innovative technologies, new clinical applications and the intelligent integration of diagnostics, medicine and information technology. Against the backdrop of advancing digitalisation and Germany’s High-Tech Agenda, new approaches to sustainable and innovative healthcare will be discussed.

• Data science and information technologies for POCT

The programme includes scientific presentations, case studies and discussions on analytical and technological fundamentals, artificial intelligence and IT solutions for diagnostics, as well as organisational and quality assurance issues. The event is complemented by an industry exhibition showcasing the latest device innovations, as well as numerous opportunities for professional exchange and networking.

The symposium is organised by the POCT Section of the German Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (DGKL), the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology (IZI) and the Institute for Laboratory Medicine, Clinical Chemistry and Molecular Diagnostics at the University of Leipzig.
