Company trip to Mexico: market exploration & recruitment of skilled labour

With the aim of deepening the potential for economic cooperation and attracting skilled labour from Mexico, Wirtschaftsförderung Sachsen GmbH (WFS) is planning a business trip to Mexico.

The business trip is aimed at companies, research institutions and networks from the mechanical engineering, automation, IT/microelectronics, energy and environmental technology sectors and offers insights into current economic developments in Mexico as well as opportunities to establish collaborations and contacts. Another focus is on personnel recruitment, in particular through the presentation of proven projects for the intercultural preparation and recruitment of trainees and skilled workers in the healthcare, IT and industrial/technical sectors. With 132 million inhabitants, a young average population and extensive free trade agreements, Mexico has developed into the USA's most important trading partner, even if individual sectors are currently under customs pressure. Germany is Mexico's third-largest trading partner after the USA and China, with over 2,200 German companies, primarily in the automotive, mechanical engineering, IT, logistics and chemicals sectors. Both Mexican business representatives and the government expressly support the expansion of economic cooperation and the recruitment of skilled labour from Mexico on the basis of existing bilateral agreements.
