Dresden, 10 February 2025 - In April 2025, Dresden will become the meeting place for the global Resource Nexus community when the Dresden Nexus Conference (DNC) takes place at the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum Dresden from 8 to 10 April 2025. The international conference will bring together leading scientists, policy makers and experts from education and practice to discuss the future and innovative solutions for sustainable resource management.
50 years of United Nations University - A special anniversary year2025 marks the 10th anniversary of the Dresden Nexus Conference and the 50th anniversary of the United Nations University (UNU). The DNC will be part of the global anniversary celebrations and will focus on both past successes and future challenges. Prof Tshilidzi Marwala, Rector of the UNU and Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, is expected to be the guest of honour. He received the Hans Carl von Carlowitz Sustainability Award in Chemnitz in November 2024 for his research work on artificial intelligence and sustainability and emphasises:
