biosaxony e.V. becomes a member of "Wirtschaft für ein Weltoffenes Sachsen e.V."

In February 2024, the life sciences cluster biosaxony e.V. joined the association "Wirtschaft für ein Weltoffenes Sachsen e.V.". The companies represented there are actively committed to a democratically constituted society. biosaxony e.V. is also pursuing this goal and would like to strengthen and expand its existing activities through membership.

The association "Wirtschaft für ein weltoffenes Sachsen e.V." currently has 106 members who are committed to internationality. The association has set itself the goal of bringing cosmopolitanism to life in business contexts in order to promote the prosperity of Saxony as a business location and the prosperity of its people. Employees, executives and local authorities are sensitised to the importance of a democratic social structure in all its facets, especially in entrepreneurial contexts, through a wide range of activities by the innovative alliance from the research landscape and business.

The association links the topics of innovation and the need for skilled labour as mutually dependent. It is committed to a broad culture of welcome and aims to visualise and support the economic skills and potential of international immigrants.

"Saxony is an economically strong state. This is largely due to the integration of foreign skilled workers into the local labour market. Here they can realise their potential and contribute to the development of the innovation location. The whole of society benefits from their ideas, their work and their commitment," says André Hofmann, Deputy Chairman of the Board of biosaxony e.V. "Employees from different countries are also active in the life sciences sector in Saxony. This should remain the case in the future."
