With its own EMC laboratories - a full-absorption hall in Harbke and a shielded cabin in Meine - SAMD supports companies from the medical technology, life sciences, automotive and industrial sectors in developing electronic products safely, in compliance with standards and close to series production.
EMC is often a critical milestone on the path to CE conformity, especially for medtech and life science companies. SAMD supports customers early on in the development process: from circuit and layout reviews, prototyping, embedded software and test benches to pre-compliance measurements during development, fault analysis and EMC optimisation. For medical electrical devices, SAMD contributes expertise in all aspects of EN/IEC 60601-1-2; for software projects, a structured approach in accordance with IEC 62304 and risk assessments in accordance with ISO 14971.
In this way, SAMD combines technical implementation with regulatory understanding - wherever laboratory equipment, diagnostic systems, medical electronics or networked devices must function reliably and be documented in a testable manner; SAMD is currently supporting the EMC of several laser and optical systems, among other things.
