EIT Health welcomes biosaxony e.V. and BioRN Network e.V. as German partners

[Leipzig, 29 February 2024] biosaxony e.V. and BioRN Network e.V. have joined the EIT Health Network as associated partners. This partnership opens up a wide range of opportunities for the two life sciences clusters to help shape innovation policy in the European healthcare sector.

EIT Health is pleased to welcome biosaxony e.V. and BioRN Network e.V., two renowned German organisations, as associated partners, thus expanding the network's reach and cooperation potential in the healthcare sector. The inclusion of biosaxony e.V. and BioRN Network e.V. in the community of innovators of EIT Health underlines the commitment to the promotion of cross-disciplinary collaborations and the use of the diverse competences of the members.

The biosaxony e.V. represents 150 companies, research institutions, start-ups and stakeholders from the fields of biotechnology, medical technology and the healthcare industry in the region of Saxony and beyond. The association is known for promoting sustainable technology transfer and supporting cutting-edge technologies. "With our membership, we are opening up better access to European funding opportunities and networks for our members. We want to anchor the EIT Health expertise more firmly in our ecosystem and thus open up growth opportunities for our stakeholders through inbound investments and settlement options. We would particularly like to thank the City of Leipzig for its support in this development," says André Hofmann, Deputy Chairman of the Board of biosaxony e.V.

BioRN Network e.V. is the science and innovation cluster of the Rhine-Main-Neckar region with its centre in Heidelberg. As a non-profit network, it comprises over 140 members, including top universities, research institutions, global pharmaceutical companies and start-ups from the life sciences sector.
