Medical technology "made in Saxony" at Arab Health in Dubai

»There is a great need for healthcare infrastructure throughout the Arab region due to the growing population. Some African countries are also expanding their healthcare sector. In addition to equipment for hospitals, this involves digital medical devices and technologies as well as innovative healthcare applications. With their extensive expertise in these areas, this offers great potential for companies in Saxony. At the trade fair, they can present their products and services directly to potential customers and business partners from these regions. We are also delighted that the joint Saxon stand is a platform for the Leipzig start-up accelerator medical:forge, which underlines Saxony's attractiveness as a location for international companies," explains WFS Managing Director Thomas Horn.

The trade fair appearance was organised by WFS on behalf of the Saxon State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour, Energy and Climate Protection (SMWA).

Further market opportunities in the Gulf region
The high level of interest in the Arab market is also underlined by the participation of Saxon companies as exhibitors or visitors at medlab Middle East, which will also take place in Dubai from 3 to 6 February. Fischer Analysen Instrumente GmbH, EUROIMMUN AG and Dr Müller Gerätebau GmbH will be among the exhibitors there.

The WFS also supports and accompanies this market interest in the Gulf region with projects for other sectors. For example, a business delegation with representatives from various sectors travelled to Saudi Arabia from 25-28 November 2024 and from 13 to 17 October, Saxony will once again present itself as a high-tech location in Dubai with a joint stand at GITEX, the trade fair for the international information and communication technology industry.
