48th ak-adp workshop on 09 and 10 April 2025 in Chemnitz

Technologies usually have a strong application focus and are favoured for specific applications. Atmospheric plasmas stand for special surface functionalisations and have established themselves, for example, in the field of ultra-fine cleaning, adhesion improvement, disinfection and nano-coating.

The combination of technologies can significantly expand their range of applications. Examples of the combination of atmospheric plasmas with other technologies will be presented and discussed at the 48th ak-adp workshop.

The main topics of the presentations will include cleaning and joining processes, applications of AD plasmas for sterilisation, disinfection and broad antimicrobial effects, gas barrier coatings, new approaches to thin-film PV production and plasma-assisted surface pre-treatment of die-cast aluminium components.

In addition to the technological topics, we are pleased that we can once again take up the topic of „atmospheric pressure plasma and AI – a symbiosis for the future!“ and thus build on the lively discussion at the 43rd ak-adp workshop in April 2023.

Another highlight of the workshop is the continuation of the competition #FutureADP. After the 2021 and 2023 competitions, we are excited to see what creative, innovative and novel ideas will be submitted in the current competition, which runs until 15 January 2025. In addition to the presentation and presentation of the best new competition ideas, there is also an outlook on the implementation of the ideas from 2021 and 2023.

The workshop will take place at the Hotel Chemnitzer Hof in the centre of Chemnitz, the European Capital of Culture 2025.
