leap:up GmbH now also present at the life science site in Chemnitz

A strong alliance of regional players is joining forces in Chemnitz to shape, strategically expand and strengthen regional development in south-west Saxony. The common goal is to create a platform that promotes bridging the gap between science and business. leap:up GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of the industry association biosaxony, will support the project and will have its own office on site from 2026. leap:up is supported by Volksbank Chemnitz, Klinikum Chemnitz, Stadt Chemnitz, Technische Universität Chemnitz and fabrik chemnitz. Starting from the fabrik chemnitz, the transfer idea is to be filled with life, building up value chains into the region. As a now established location with an innovative spirit, fabrik chemnitz is the ideal starting point for promoting the establishment of start-ups and identifying innovative business models in collaboration with strong partners. As part of a multi-stakeholder approach, we want to provide answers to the structural development of south-west Saxony by networking relevant players.

As a partner of the Chemnitz Health Campus, we promote existing synergies and initiate projects between industry and research. This includes the provision of services and expertise as well as highlighting regional expertise in the Chemnitz economic region. The cluster's work also focuses on developing new ideas and strategies as well as promoting sustainable technology transfer.
