The launch event took place at the Massachusetts Pavilion in collaboration with MassBio. The aim of the network is to jointly discuss scientific, technological and societal issues relating to the healthcare sector in a confidential setting and to initiate new opportunities for collaboration. The focus is on building strong relationships and fostering regular exchange between decision-makers from different disciplines.
The Innovation Circle complements BioMed X’s existing partner network and is designed as a long-term platform. Further events, workshops and thematic discussion formats are to follow in the future. In doing so, BioMed X is responding to the growing importance of interdisciplinary collaboration for the development of new therapies and health technologies.
For the international life sciences sector, the initiative highlights a broader trend. Innovation processes are increasingly being organised within open networks in which companies, research institutions, investors and public sector bodies collaborate at an early stage. The development of such ecosystems is therefore becoming increasingly important as a strategic competitive factor for biomedical research and the transfer of new technologies.
