The focus was on applications of spatial computing and smart glasses in diagnostics, surgery, training and clinical workflows. The event showcased the latest developments in pre-operative planning, intra-operative navigation, medical imaging and telemedicine applications. Particular emphasis was placed on the integration of Apple Vision Pro into various surgical specialities, including neurosurgery, trauma surgery, urology, vascular surgery and oncology. The programme included presentations by experts from international hospitals and companies such as Apple, Siemens Healthineers, Karl Storz, Stryker, Elsevier and Visage Imaging. As a result, the event developed into a platform for exchange between medical technology, software development and clinical practice. For the city of Leipzig, the congress underlines the region’s growing international significance in the field of digital health applications. With BioCity, Leipzig University Hospital, the Fraunhofer IWU and a vibrant start-up scene, the region boasts a closely networked innovation ecosystem in which new medical technologies are developed, tested and integrated into clinical care.
