What will be honoured?
The Innovation Award honours ideas that:
- are patented or in the process of being patented,
have a clear application reference,
- have strong market potential and
- can make a relevant contribution to the economy and society

Who can apply?
- Scientists from universities and non-university research institutions
- Legal persons under public law (e.g. universities, universities of applied sciences, patent exploitation agencies)
- Founders of young companies that have not yet achieved any relevant turnover and have not sold any significant shares in the company to external investors
