With his "Modular Surgical Training", Stolzenburg has developed a teaching concept that now sets standards worldwide. The 60-year-old once started out as an assistant nurse at the UKL and is now regarded as a pioneer of modern urology. In addition to numerous honours from the Royal Colleges in the UK, he has now also been elected to the board of the specialist society. Leipzig can also look forward to the 80th Annual Congress of Urologists taking place in the trade fair city in 2028 - a major scientific event that will further strengthen Leipzig's reputation as a centre of cutting-edge medicine.
