Around 150 experts from various stakeholder groups have drawn up the paper and developed a roadmap to improve patient care and strengthen Germany as a centre for gene- and cell-based therapies. BIO Deutschland and numerous association members have also been intensively involved in the development of the strategy in various working groups. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research commissioned the BIH to coordinate and moderate the development of the strategy. Around 250 stakeholders from science, business, politics and society from all over Germany attended the handover at the Futurium in Berlin.
