The application can be submitted by the supervisor or as a self-nomination and includes a brief description of the work, a CV and the thesis itself. The prize of 1,500 euros will be increased to 3,000 euros by Sartorius Stedim Biotech GmbH. In addition, the prize winners receive free access to a DECHEMA biotechnology conference.
The award will be presented at the Himmelfahrtstagung on Bioprocess Engineering 2026 in Mainz. The Future Forum brings together young researchers and highlights the innovative power of young scientists.
